Things to do • North Norfolk

Little Barn’s inland position allows easy access to all that North Norfolk has to offer. To the north is the impressive Norfolk coast, stretching from Hunstanton to Great Yarmouth, with its beaches and wildlife reserves, where you can see seals and an abundance of migratory and resident birdlife-a haven for birdwatchers.

Travel south and you will find a wealth of history in the many Norman and Saxon churches. You will also find stately homes and quaint secluded villages with welcoming tearooms and pubs, many of them award-winning.

Little Barn’s ideal location is about 20 miles from Norwich, a trip of about 40 minutes. Norwich has a charming medieval centre, with its glorious cathedral and Norman castle, popular with adults and children alike for its museum and art galleries. These blend well with the modern retail centre which has many excellent dining and shopping opportunities of all kinds.

The nearby georgian town of Holt has a Budgens, as well as many other shops and eating outlets, as well as several good coffee shops. There are a number of arts and craft shops.

Walking and Cycling

There are many walks, long and short, all over North Norfolk, including several straight from the door of Little Barn. There are also many peaceful lanes where families can cycle safely together, and there is safe family cycling at Blickling Hall and Holkham Hall.
